Welcome, Friend.

Congratulations on your new little one on the way! My name is LeNay Graham, and I am so excited that you are here and are interested in doula support. I am so excited to get to know you and to chat more. As a little introduction, I wanted to take a brief moment to share a little about myself and also share my heart and passion behind doula care.

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota and am the oldest of five children. Fast forward several years, I graduated from a small private college with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. For five years, I was a teacher for 5th and 6th graders and loved it. In 2012, we were overjoyed at the birth of our first son after years of struggling to get pregnant. My husband and I decided that I would stay home instead of teaching in the classroom setting. I loved being a new mom, but I will admit, I never took time to rest and recover. Very quickly, I tried to “do it all” and then some. In 2013, we were blessed with a second son, and in 2015, we had the joy of becoming parents to a daughter. Yet, after her birth, I quickly spiraled into significant postpartum anxiety and depression. Here I was, a mom of three, my children were the love of my life, but every day, was a struggle emotionally. It was during this season that I learned the value of support and of having others come alongside me. I accepted the truth that we were never meant to do it alone. I did make it through that very difficult season, and much to our surprise, we became pregnant with twin boys, who were born in May of 2017. Truly our hearts were full. In this new season, I readily accepted the help of others and saw the value of having the emotional and physical support I needed to recover well. What a difference this made for me! I knew that doula work needed to be in my future.

So here I am today, passionate about coming alongside birthing and postpartum mothers because I truly believe that we weren’t meant to journey alone. I truly believe God placed this calling on my heart and I am so grateful to be able to journey with mothers and families in this special time. As a birth doula, I will offer you emotional support, assist with physical comfort measures, guidance on purposeful movement in labor, and will help answer questions you have about the laboring and birth process so that you feel confident as you go through your birth experience. I will support you throughout your labor and birth and will remain with you for the immediate postpartum period as you get settled and begin breastfeeding. In addition, I will also come alongside you in providing a wealth of evidence based resources and trusted recommendations for a variety of pregnancy and postpartum questions, concerns, or needs you or your baby may have.

I am here to support you! You are worth it. You have been chosen to be a mother to this new life, and I count it an incredible privilege to walk alongside you in your journey. Many blessings as you embark on this new and exciting adventure. May it be woven with grace.

Some of my favorite truths….

I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken” (Psalm 16:8).

My body and my baby are wise and are working together in perfect time.

I am fully equipped for this moment."

“This can’t be stronger than me because it is me.” (Mama Natural)

Each wave is purposeful and brings me closer to meeting my baby.

It is God Who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure” (2 Samuel 22:33).

“Her trauma is not my birth story” (Unknown).

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7).

A little more about me…

I am married with five precious kiddos, with identical twins at the end!

When not busy with my kiddos or at a birth, you can find me at my favorite coffee shop or out for a morning jog. I am planning on completing a 1/2 marathon in May of 2024 . :)

I LOVE dark chocolate!

I recently started making my own sourdough and am loving it! I have been terrified of bread making for a good part of my life, and have found success with this! Our favorite recipe has become this sourdough sandwich bread; I have made waaaayyy too many loaves of this, I will admit. :) I also will willingly share a starter with anyone interested in jumping on this sourdough train!

I love Jesus and I truly believe He has led me to come alongside mothers and families as a doula. I pray that He will help me to live a life that reflects His grace and incredible mercy to every person I meet.

So glad you are here and can’t wait to meet you!
